California Drivers License - How to Get One
If you need to know how to get your first teenage California driver's license, look no further than here! Following are the steps you need to take to get licensed in California:
Complete a Driver's Education course licensed by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). If you are at least 15 years old, you can enroll in our program, CaliforniaTeenDriving.com. All you need to do is complete all the chapters and pass the final exam.
Enroll in a behind-the-wheel driver training program. In addition to our online teen drivers ed course, you will need to enroll in a driver training program in order to get a learner's license.
Apply for your provisional permit.
Hold the permit and practice driving with supervision for 6 months. You must complete at least 50 hours of supervised driving, with 10 hours at night. The supervising driver must be a certified driving instructor or your parent or legal guardian if he or she is at least 25 years of age and has a valid California driver's license.
Apply for your California driver's license. If you have taken a DMV licensed driver's education course, you are eligible to apply for a driver's license when you are 16 years old.
To obtain your driver's license, you must then pass the vision test, the written test and the road test
